DESCRIPTION:The Montol Festival is a fantastic 6-day community festival celebrating the mid-winter solstice - culminating in the main event\, Montol Eve on December 21. SUMMARY:Mousehole Christmas Lights
DESCRIPTION:The Mousehole lights are an iconic part of Christmas in Cornwall. The tradition started in 1963 by Mousehole-based artist\, Joan Gillchrest with just one simple string of coloured bulbs along both quays to make the village a bit brighter at Christmas time. Today the largest set piece ( Merry Christmas\, Happy New Year) is approximately 50m long and 6m high and contains nearly 1000 bulbs! \nEnjoy the stunning sight of the Christmas lights whilst you delight in mulled wine and festive food along the Quay side. This years festivities also include The ‘Carolaire Choir’\, comprising of the Mousehole Male Voice Choir\, Members of the Mousehole Methodist Church and friends from the community together with the Pendeen Silver Band\, will lead the community singing.
