As a local team based in Port Isaac and Rock, we at John Bray Cornish Holidays know just how essential Port Isaac breakwaters are to the safety and sustainability of our community.
In a bid to raise funds for the work needed to repair and maintain the harbour at Port Isaac, we are embarking on our very own rowing challenge!
Our aim is to row the equivalent distance of Lands End to Port Isaac - 164km – in only 12 hours. On Tuesday 12th April, from 8am onwards, we will be positioned outside our Port Isaac office on New Road, armed with two rowing machines and a lot of enthusiasm.
Our owner relations team, property maintenance team, cleaners, caretakers, property checkers, marketing executives and administrators are taking time out of their day jobs, donning their lycra and tracksuits, and hitting the rowing machines to try and reach this milestone distance.
So how can you help? We are looking to raise as much money as possible for this exceptionally worthwhile cause. We have set up a dedicated Just Giving page, and we kindly ask you to support us by donating any amount you can, big or small.
Any donation you make will go directly to supporting Port Isaac breakwaters, an infrastructure essential to the survival of this small coastal community.
Plus, every penny donated will spur our team on to succeed in our challenge
Why not come along and give your support to our dedicated rowers. Don’t forget your trainers… we would love it if you would like to do a stint on our second rowing machine. 10, 15, 30 or 60 minutes – however long you can manage to help us row home to Port Isaac by 8pm. All ages and abilities welcome, and everyone that rows will get a little treat.
