Camborne Trevithick Day is a community led street festival of free entertainment. There are two processional dances, plus the only parade of steam powered engines in an urban area, as well as a variety of music, dancing, singing, street entertainment, vintage vehicles, exhibitions, a flower festival, street stalls and a fair. The day celebrates the engineering and mining history of the area, and is dedicated to Richard Trevithick, pioneer of high pressure steam power.
