Falmouth Week is back and this year The Greenbank Hotel and its popular pub The Working Boat will be celebrating on their private quay. All events are free, and all are welcome.
With enviable views over the harbour to watch the yachts racing, their events marquee will be open throughout the week whilst providing a hub for sailing activities. Head there from Friday 10th through to Sunday 19th August, from midday – 11pm every day.
The Greenbank’s chefs will be cooking up a storm on the barbeque, including homemade pizzas fresh from their new outdoor pizza oven. There will also be an afternoon tea party and live music on most evenings, including performances by Femmes de la Mer, All Good Things, Patrick Gilbert, The Oggymen, plus so much more.
FRIDAY 10TH AUGUST
Head over for the launch party! Expect live music starting at 6pm with a variety of musicians performing in the events marquee, including Lucky Guy and The Chancers, throughout the evening.
SATURDAY 11TH AUGUST
Enjoy live music from Alfie Pound and Bryher’s Boys to get you dancing throughout the evening, starting at 6pm. The Greenbank will also host the first ever Falmouth Gin Festival.
SUNDAY 12TH AUGUST
Blues singer and pianist Patrick Gilbert will perform in the afternoon – a real treat! The Working Boat’s famous roasts will be served throughout the day and their pub quiz will be held as usual at 7.30pm.
TUESDAY 14TH AUGUST
The Greenbank’s Afternoon Tea Garden Party will be held in the marquee with a summer-fete set up between midday and 6pm. Expect delicious homemade cakes and scones, with G&Ts and Prosecco to celebrate in style. The cocktail bar will be in full swing, followed by the spectacular Red Arrows at 6:15pm swooshing over Falmouth.
THURSDAY 16TH AUGUST
Local sea shanty group The Oggymen will be providing entertainment from 6pm onwards.
FRIDAY 17TH AUGUST
The marquee will host live music from a variety of musicians, including All Good Things from 6pm onwards, for the spectacular fireworks party across Falmouth harbour.
SATURDAY 18TH AUGUST
Start the day off with a leisurely brunch in the pub, and don’t miss the female sea shanty group Femmes de la Mer in the marquee from 8pm until 10pm.
SUNDAY 19TH AUGUST
Falmouth Week closing party, with Patrick Gilbert performing in the afternoon. Expect delicious food and a fully stocked Cornish bar serving cocktails, gin, local ales and more.
