Arts Cafe
Linked to the Royal Cornwall Museum and with direct access to the Truro Arts Company, the Arts Café is perfectly situated as a stop off for a quiet coffee, lunch with friends or afternoon tea when enjoying the city.
During the winter months, sit yourself down on a comfy sofa and relax next to the log burner, or in summer head outside to the courtyard and make the most of the sunshine.
Having recently received a Taste of the West Silver award for their food, whether you’re enjoying their range of freshly prepared savoury choices that include colourful salads, homemade gourmet sandwiches, paninis, jacket potatoes, and soup - or looking for something sweeter such as the carrot cake, scones, flapjacks or lemon drizzle cake on offer – the menu doesn’t disappoint.
When it comes to hot drinks there’s plenty to choose from too – lattes, cappuccinos, hot chocolate (with all the trimmings), flat whites and loose leaf teas served in quirky tea pots are all available amongst other favourites. Ethically aware, the café uses Cornish company Origin’s Farmer30 blend of Arabica beans from Brazil – a product that guarantees the farmer at least a 30% profit margin. Fully licensed, wine, beer and cider are also available.
Fancy a quiet coffee alone? Art books, magazines and the daily papers are on hand, whilst kids can be kept entertained with the toys found around the café.
