Kennack Sands
Two beaches in one
Beautiful Kennack Sands on the Lizard actually offers two stretches of sand in a sheltered bay, separated by the rocky outcrop of Carn Kennack which reaches from the shore into the sea.
The shallow angle of the beach creates waves of 4ft-5ft which make it hugely popular with surfers all year round. There are good facilities here, which will appeal to families visiting Cornwall – including parking, lifeguard cover in summer, a shop and café and toilets.
Kennack Sands is close to the tiny village of Kuggar and parts of the area are given over to a nature reserve, so it’s rich in wildlife. It’s also adjacent to the South West Coast Path for walkers; making it a great places to visit when holidaying in Cornwall.
