Porthluney Beach

Porthluney Beach

Quietly nestled into a sheltered cove, Porthluney Beach is situated to the west of the Dodman Point. The calm waters here are wonderful for swimming, kayaking, and paddle boarding, and the golden sand is perfect for building sandcastles. Whether you are making a pitstop along this stunning stretch of the coastal path or enjoying a day on the beach with the family, Porthluney Cove is a must-see destination on the South Coast.

Set a little way back from the shoreline, Caerhays Castle overlooks the secluded cove, providing scenery akin to something out of a fairy-tale. The gardens are open for exploration in the spring, and you can even book a guided tour of the castle!

Ample parking is available, and Caerhays Beach Café offers a spectacular menu. Dogs are welcome all year round.

Please note that this beach is not lifeguarded, so please take care if choosing to enter the water.
