Porthkidney
Perfect for pooches.
Dog friendly all year round, and quieter than the surrounding beaches of St Ives and Hayle - Porthkidney is great for kicking off your flip-flops and enjoying the best of what Cornwall has to offer.
Known as ‘happy dog beach’ the sand can stretch over a mile out to sea - so you can be sure that your pooch will love playing on the vast expanse of yellow sand, and in beautiful blue waters.
Porthkidney offers sheltered surfing opportunities close to Hawke’s Point, and on calmer days is popular with long-boarders – lifeguards are present during the summer season.
At low tide the short walk around Hawke’s Point to the neighbouring Carbis Bay is possible – showcasing another of Cornwall’s beautiful beaches.
We love...
Walking along the surrounding Cornish coast path as far as Godrevy Head which provides awe -inspiring views along the way.
Don't miss...
