Wild Futures

Wild Futures

For little monkeys… and big ones too!

Find out about the work of Wild Futures and meet some of the monkeys they’ve rescued at The Monkey Sanctuary in Looe.

A popular attraction in Cornwall; walk around the site and talk to experienced keepers who are on hand all day. Meet monkeys like veteran capuchin Daisy, who was confiscated from an exotic animal breeder in Wales where she had been kept in appalling conditions. And Joey who, after being stolen from the rainforest at just three months old, was kept locked in a tiny cage in a Camden flat for nine years before being rescued in 2007.

Find out about the mysterious world of the endangered lesser horseshoe bat, stop for a cream tea in the café or relax and enjoy the views as your little ones let off steam in the play area. Then from The Meadows to the Victorian Border, explore the colourful gardens, which have been split into six themed areas, each with a host of different plants and wildlife just waiting to be discovered.
