The South West Lakes Trust manages 50 inland waters in the region, including Siblyback Lake Country Park near Liskeard which offers a wide range of activities on and off the water in a dramatic landscape on the edge of Bodmin Moor.
The lake is perfect for all forms of watersports from skiing to windsurfing, sailing and kayaking as well as cycling, walking and climbing. The more adventurous can try wakeboarding on the first full cable system in Devon and Cornwall and you can even fish for trout at Siblyback Lake, ensuring there is plenty of things to do for everyone.
Popular with families is the rowing boat hire while less able groups are catered for with the wheelyboat which can accommodate wheelchairs. Some of the activities are seasonal, but the Siblyback Segway Adventure is open all year round and is a great, fun way to explore.
Finally, why not extend your stay at the Siblyback campsite; offering a great place to stay when visiting Cornwall.
A cream tea in the cafe overlooking the lake after all that healthy activity and fresh air.
If you’re not sure if a particular sport is for you, then try a taster session or hire some of the kit you might need. There are also waterskiing lessons for beginners.
