The Godolphin

The Godolphin

Located on the water’s edge, above the two-mile stretch of sandy beach at Marazion – The Godolphin is the perfect destination for a seaside break in Cornwall.

Featuring ten contemporary bedrooms, restaurant and beach bar the boutique hotel’s sea view rooms are bathed in Cornish light (rumoured to be the best in the country) and provide mesmerising views of the Mount and the endless horizons beyond. King or super-king beds provide a luxurious night’s sleep and awaking to the lulling sounds of the sea is an unforgettable experience.

Each sea-view room has its own unique touches, from floor to ceiling windows and state of the art wet rooms - to the Captain’s Porthole in room 11, the perfect place to watch the sun sink below the horizon. Room five and six boast their own private terraces, which overlook the ocean – and on a summer’s day it would be criminal to enjoy breakfast anywhere else.

The inward facing rooms are equally as impressive and look out upon the historic town of Marazion. Equipped with flat-screen televisions, iPod docks and pretty coastal furnishings – plus a dog bowl with biscuits for pet pooches and an array of luxury toiletries.

The breakfast menu is served from 8am and is jam-packed with delicious choices, from a full Cornish and Eggs Florentine to buttermilk pancakes and kippers. For a little pick me up why not try a morning mimosa or breakfast martini?

We love...

The use of local produce – including sparkling water from Pure Blue, dairy products from Mounts Bay Dairy and tea from Tregothnan.

Don't miss...

Exploring Marazion beach – the hotel provides buckets, spades and fishing nets for little (and big) guests. Why not build a sandcastle to rival that of St Michael’s?
