Hendra Holiday Park is a 5*, family-owned site nestled in the Cornish countryside. Just outside of Newquay, Hendra has been family owned since 1972 and remains the same today. Hendra has over 50 years’ experience of family holidays and know how to make a holiday memorable.
A multi-award-winning Park, Hendra is a five-star destination, for bespoke to Hendra holiday homes as well as touring, camping and caravan holidays.
Hendra is within easy access of Newquay’s 7 golden sand beaches, amazing local attractions, as well as a range of on-site activities and entertainment.

There are accommodation options to suit every taste and budget. The caravan holiday homes come in a range of sizes and price ranges.
Hendra’s newest edition is Chestnut House. Nestled on the edge of Hendra, in an ultra-exclusive area of the park, Chestnut House offers the ultimate luxurious family getaway in an utterly secluded spacious holiday home. Step through mature gardens to the quiet and peaceful Chestnut House, fully equipped with everything for the ultimate Cornish getaway.
Or stay in the luxurious Meadow lodges, which are situated in an exclusive area of the park, the Meadow Retreat, so there’s the benefit of quieter surrounds without compromising on distance to facilities. These Lodges have an elegantly decorated and spacious living space, shaker kitchen, as well as opulent furnishings, and your own private outdoor decking.
There’s the top-range holiday home caravan, the Watergate. These are beautifully decorated, modern and spacious homes, situated in a range of idyllic locations in lush parkland. There are dog-friendly options available in this range.
All caravan holiday homes are located in a tranquil setting, nestled in 50 acres of holiday park and 80 acres of landscaped parkland. Enjoy the award-winning and varied grounds, with beautiful blooms, green trees and manicured grass, and also wilder flowers and fields. With beautiful, scenic views of the countryside, and only a short drive from the sea, you are sure to be in holiday mode from the moment you step into your accommodation.
Camping and Touring…
Hendra has 12 fields of spacious touring and camping pitches around the Park in a range of sizes and locations. There are multiple water points, washing up blocks, waste disposal areas, and a launderette, and many of the roads are tarmacked with plenty of lighting. The toilet block facilities have been awarded the '5* Loo of the Year' award each year for their stylish layout and cleanliness.
Dogs are welcome on some pitches too.
Fun…
There’s plenty to do for all ages right here. With the Oasis Fun Pools, one of the largest indoor fun pools in the Southwest. There are 3 waterslides, river rapids, toddler pool and giant tap with a waterfall. The outdoor pool is open from the end of May until the end of August with sun loungers - perfect for chilled-out days.
For kids, there’s a children’s play area, with The Jolly Henry, a pirate play ship, a skate and scooter park, indoor amusements, and indoor soft play at Henry’s Playloft. Small ones will love getting to meet Henry or Henrietta, the resident hippos.
Try the Palm Beach Adventure Golf! A Hendra and beach themed adventure golf, which is fun for the whole family, with 9 holes and fun obstacles. Older kids will love the fun challenge of the Ninja Assault Course too. Great for older kids, set the timer and see how fast you can do it!
Every evening there’s entertainment at The Venue for the whole family! The little ones can enjoy hippo fun, activities, and party dances in the early evening, followed by bingo, games, and Star Acts late at night for the grown-ups. There are a range of acts each week including comedy, live music, shows, illusionists and karaoke.
Couples and those who like things a bit more relaxed, will enjoy the more laid-back, acoustic entertainment on at the outdoor Deck Bar during the summer months. Or perhaps a drink in the Terrace Bar & Restaurant right beside the pool! Check-out the Special Offers page on the website for seasonal events and special appearances.
There are a variety of on-site activities for all ages, including Segways, Mini 4x4s, Nature Explorers, and special events in the peak weeks.
Dog-owners are also welcome - your pooch will enjoy running around the dog walking fields.
Eat…
There several eateries on the park, serving delicious, fresh food for all tastes. The recently refurbished Terrace Bar and Restaurant, has ample seating and space. Located right besides the outdoor pool, enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner here in the ambient surroundings. There's indoor and outdoor seating for everyone.
There’s also Always Sundae, an ice cream shop selling locally sourced, Cornish, organic Ice Cream, along with coffee. Throughout the season Hendra has delicious pop-up food stalls too, serving a range of mouthwatering dishes.
