Porthminster Beach

Porthminster Beach

Perfect for family fun.

Sheltered by the beautiful backdrop of lush fields, wooded slopes and impressive Victorian villas,-Porthminster beach is simply stunning.

Located just below St Ives train station it comes with an abundance of shore side facilities including an award-winning restaurant, beach huts and disabled access – great for car-free days out in Cornwall.

The crescent of golden sand is the perfect setting for building sandcastles, or simply enjoying a good book.  Frequently awarded Blue Flag status, Porthminster is one of the best beaches in Cornwall for swimming and snorkelling.

The surrounding South West Coast Path provides wonderful walks to Carbis Bay and Lelant – at low tide you can amble across the sands to St Ives’ beautiful town centre and harbour.

Lifeguards patrol during the summer months and the beach is dog friendly between 1st October and Easter Sunday.

We love...

The views across to Godrevy Lighthouse.

Don't miss...

The town of St Ives. Only a five minute walk from the beach you’ll find cobbled streets filled with shops, restaurants and bars.
