Roskilly’s

Roskilly’s

A real Cornish working farm on the Lizard Peninsula. Meet the animals, explore the farm trails and of course, try some of the delicious ice cream.

The Jersey cows remain at the heart of the farm – providing all the milk required by the creamery to create the famous ice cream we all know and love. There were only 30 cows when Joe Roskilly inherited the farm in 1950, now 125 are milked twice a day. Visitors are welcome to watch the cows being milked from the viewing gallery at 5am (if you’re a seriously early riser) or at 4.30pm. You’ll also be able to spot some of the cows with their calves to the side of the collecting yard.

Exploring the farm you’ll meet a range of animals such as pigs, sheep, geese and chickens - why not let the kids feed them with bags available from the Croust House, our on-site restaurant? You might also be able to spot the goats plotting their next great escape or Mr Turkey strutting his stuff.

With over 30 flavours of ice cream to choose from, plus frozen yoghurts and sorbets, you’ll be spoilt for choice during your visit. Roskilly’s believe that the best way to enjoy their ice cream is in a sundae - with a range of flavours from tropical to minty. Can't decide which to try first? Why not buy some take-away tubs to enjoy at home.

After indulging in a sundae, ice cream milkshake, or original Cornish scoop, explore the many paths that surround the farm. Take the footpath to Godrevy Beach or Coverack, or stay within the farm and explore The Old Withy Woods.
