Lusty Glaze

Lusty Glaze

The ultimate 5* beach experience.

Located just outside Newquay, Lusty Glaze beach is a crescent of turquoise seas, golden sands and dramatic cliffs.

Privately owned since the 1920’s, Lusty Glaze changed from iron ore mine to glamourous bathing beach, complete with beach huts, donkey rides and butler’s service.

The beach is still privately owned today but is free to the public and now serves as one of Cornwall’s finest family beaches - with great amenities including beach side café, activity centre and luxury beach huts.

Surrounded on three sides by 150ft cliffs, Lusty Glaze is the perfect place for trying your hand at abseiling or the Terror Tightrope - a knee trembling journey from one cliff to another at a height of 120ft!

For those that prefer their feet on the ground, the beach is also home to the National Lifeguard Training Centre – making Lusty Glaze one of the safest beaches in Cornwall to take a dip.

We love...

The name Lusty Glaze, which translates as ‘the place to view blue boats’.
