Swanpool Beach

Swanpool Beach

Five minutes drive away from Falmouth town centre, Swanpool is always a hub of activity. Although much smaller than neighbouring Gyllyngvase Beach, its size certainly does not equate to its amazing range of activities.

Although the beach is not patrolled by lifeguards, this does not deter people from indulging in a variety of watersports from kayaking to windsurfing, coasteering to sailing. Backing on to the beach is Swanpool Nature Reserve, a popular spot for a short stroll and a chance to feed the ducks.

There’s a car park one minute’s walk away from the beach which also houses a set of public loos. As well as being a WiFi hotspot, Swanpool is located close to both a café and a restaurant. With so much on offer, it’s clear why it remains such a popular beach in Cornwall.

We love...

Taking the coastal path to Swanpool. Whilst it’s easy to park your car here, the short tarmacked path between Gyllyngvase and Swanpool offers stunning views out over the sea and surrounding fields.

Don't miss...

Ordering a hedgehog ice-cream. Cornwall is famous for its clotted cream ice-cream, but this just takes it to a whole new level!
