Praa Sands Beach

One of the sandiest beaches in Cornwall

Located in famous Mount’s Bay, Praa Sands is rumoured to have the finest sand in Cornwall - fantastic for building sandcastles, burying Dad and romantic walks along the shoreline.

A beautiful place to visit in Cornwall with the family, there are fantastic facilities including a café, toilets and car park which overlooks the beach – a great spot for rainy-day picnics with a view!

Lifeguarded in the summer, Praa Sands is a safe place for kids to play - with crystal blue waters, rock pools and great snorkelling spots.

Surfers will find some of the best waves in Cornwall due to the South Westerly location - great for both beginners and those more experienced. The surf school runs throughout the summer and equipment is available to hire on the beach.
