From the hills to the coastline, Cornwall is home to a wealth of historical landmarks, including many castles located across the county.

Why not take a trip to Tintagel Castle and discover its close alignment with the story of King Arthur, or visit St Mawes Castle on the Roseland to see an example of one of the best-preserved forts on the coastline. And when you’re ready to head outside? The experience continues as you make your way around the outdoor gardens that are home to some of the world’s oldest and rarest plants.

With much of the filming of this popular TV series taking place in Cornwall, you may want to find out more about the locations used. From St Breward on Bodmin Moor which featured as Poldark’s home Nampara, to Levant Mine which was used as Wheal Leisure, there’s much to see when following the trail of the Poldark film crew.
