After two long years of cancellations, postponements and restrictions, Cornwall’s events are back this year and look set to be better than ever!

Here are five of our favourites that we’re really looking forward to:

Porthleven Food Festival

When: 22nd – 24th April

No need to buy tickets (though donations are appreciated), just make your way to the picturesque harbour at Porthleven and look forward to a delicious day discovering all that the festival has to offer. From the fantastic chef's theatre to the wide variety of street food available; you won’t leave disappointed. There’ll be music by day and night to enjoy too.

Royal Cornwall Show

When: 9th – 11th June

Attended by around 130,000 people each year, the Royal Cornwall Show is one of the major events on the Cornish calendar. Showcasing the county at its best, the show brings together a fantastic mix of agriculture and trade, as well as offering plenty of entertainment for all the family to enjoy.

Some of the highlights for us include the performances in the main ring and the food tent where you’ll find a fantastic array of delicious delicacies to sample and buy!

Rock Oyster Festival

When: 29th – 31st July

With a different chef taking the helm each year, 2022 will see the festival team up with Jack Stein; promising the curation of ‘a food-line up like no other’!

Alongside the fantastic food, you’ll also be treated to a strong music line-up; with the likes of Happy Mondays, Laura Mvula, Passenger, Huey Morgan, Jade Bird and Rae Morris set to perform – and that’s not to mention the outdoor and wellbeing activities and family programme that will also be on offer. A brilliant way to spend a few days.

Originally a local sailing regatta dating back at least as far as 1837, Falmouth week is now a major event on the Cornish calendar and one that both visitors and locals alike attend year on year.
