Cider, Cornwall is famous for the stuff, so why not book dad in to a workshop with one of the county’s best independent cider makers in the coming months? Spotty Dog Cider produces delicious cider made as nature intended using local, sustainably grown apples – and owner Lorraine runs courses on cider and juice making - alongside orchard planting, planning and pruning .

Take a tour around Bodmin Jail and feel your senses heighten as you experience the smells, sights and feeling of history at the eerie building. The jail is home to the only working execution pit in the country, where you can learn how many of those condemned to execution were submitted to the ‘long drop’ as well as discovering some of the stories of those who died there. There are plenty of fantastic places for a celebratory Father’s Day meal in Cornwall.
