Half term and Halloween in Cornwall

With Halloween falling so close to half term this year, kids can look forward to a variety of fantastic spooky days out and events during their time off later this month. So dig out the fancy dress box, get the pumpkins prepared and look forward to some frightfully good fun!

Halloweden

Roll up to the spooky spectacular event at the Eden Project this half term – promising magical craft activities, pop up performances, illusions, pumpkin carving, ghostly sideshows and more, will you dare to be scared?

Running from the 22nd – 30th October, most activities on offer are included within the price of admission.

Creepy Creek Halloweek

Set to be a ‘spooktacular’ week, head to Camel Creek Adventure Park this half term (22nd - 30th) for ghoulish events and nerve-wracking thrills including two scare zones, a witch’s grotto, magic shows and the Reaper ghost train to enjoy. Every child will also receive a free pumpkin and gifts will be given to those who arrive in fancy dress.

Ready to truly test your nerve? Why not explore the park after dark on Friday 28th October? Prepare for an eerie evening with creepy encounters and spooky stories before heading to your tent for a night spent on site.

Dairyland Farm World

Ready for a variety of family fun and frights? Visit Dairyland Farm World this half term (24th - 30th October) and enjoy spooky craft workshops and pumpkin carving with the Dairyland witch!

Pendennis Castle

Kids will love the ‘Shiver me timbers’ event running at Pendennis Castle from 24th – 28th October. Discovering terrifying tales of Pendennis’ piratical past and embarking on a bone-chilling quest to find a buccaneer’s ill-gotten gains, they’re sure to have frightfully good fun!

For those looking for that extra scare, head to the castle on the 27th or 28th October for an eerie tour after hours. With spine-tingling storytellers and tales of apparitions and dastardly deeds it’s not for the faint hearted!

Wild Futures Monkey Sanctuary

From 24th – 30th October the Monkey Sanctuary will be turning a little spooky! Take part in the Halloween treasure hunt, enjoy some face painting fun and of course, take a tour of the monkey enclosures.

Bodmin Jail - one for the adults!

Ready for a truly spooky Halloween? For those adults seeking an altogether different experience, book yourself in for the After Dark experience at Bodmin Jail. Exploring the jail during the night hours you will be guided by the Resident Medium, who will tutor you in the basics of Reiki and energy management before setting off around the jail – thought to be the most haunted venue in the UK - in the pitch black.

The event runs from 8.45pm to 5am and includes a 3-course meal at the start of the evening – allowing you to get to know your fellow inmates.
