With Christmas just around the corner, New Year will soon be upon us. That can mean only one thing – dazzling fireworks displays and celebrations to welcome in 2019! Here are some of our favourites.
Falmouth
Head to the seafront for midnight and get ready to welcome 2019 in with a bang! Sponsored by The Royal Duchy Hotel and hosted by Pendennis Castle, the fireworks display promises to be a fantastic spectacle. With a variety of hotels and restaurants offering brilliant events to enjoy both in the town and along the seafront – whether you’re looking for a black-tie event, or something a little less formal, there’s something for everyone.
St Ives
Closed to traffic and filled with happy revellers showing off their fancy dress costumes in the run up to midnight, everyone will enjoy the spectacular fireworks display that takes to the skies over the beaches and town at the stroke of midnight.
Newquay
Another fancy dress hub, join the crowds of people taking to the town where you’ll find musical performances, other entertainment and of course plenty of venues to enjoy some great food and drink before enjoying the fireworks display that kicks off the new year over the harbour.
Looe
As people take to the streets of the historic town to celebrate the upcoming new year, they can all enjoy not one, but two firework displays! The first will be taking place at 6pm and is therefore perfect for families. The second is, of course, at midnight – launched from Banjo Pier. Those looking for a big party atmosphere will love the festivities.
Truro
Truro will once again offer up a spectacular display at midnight which can be enjoyed from Lemon Quay. With plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from, Truro offers a great place to welcome in 2019.
