With a whole host of activities and fun things to do on offer around Cornwall this Easter there’s plenty to keep the family entertained. Here are just a few of our favourites:
Wild Futures – The Monkey Sanctuary
Head over to the Monkey Sanctuary this Easter Sunday or Monday and take part in the fun Easter trail – following the clues around the wildlife garden to find the secret word and win a prize. The kids will love looking around the monkey enclosures and learning about them from the team of experts on hand.
Ready for an Easter adventure quest? Running between the 14th – 17th April you’ll be greeted at the castle by a character from the past, from a king to a Roman centurion, who’ll be able to help you crack the different clues on your quest around the castle!
With plenty of Easter fun on offer from 1st – 17th April, Wheal Martyn offers the perfect day out for the whole family. Take part in the free spring themed ‘make & take’ activities and join the bunny hunt for just £1 per child. There is also the chance to have a go at pottery painting (prices vary), whilst kids will love to just have fun exploring all there is to see at this historic site.
Plan a visit to Camel Creek over the Easter weekend and every child will receive a free Easter egg! Running from 14th – 17th April, take part in the golden egg hunt for a chance to win a family membership and Easter surprise – during Easter Sunday you’ll also see the Easter bunny making various appearances. As if that wasn’t enough, the park is offering seven days of fun for the price of one – an offer not to be missed.
Between 1st – 17th April, The Eden Project will be going egg-streme! From the Golden Egg Hunt, to Egg Scramble or Nest Ball there is a wide range of activities for the family to enjoy this Easter. Get your card stamped by joining in the fun and when you have three, claim your prize!
Pirates ahoy! Between Monday 3rd and Friday 21st April head over to Pendennis Castle to discover its piractical past. With fun and games galore throughout the Easter Holidays there’s plenty on offer to keep everyone entertained.
Get creative with the printing workshop at Penlee House Gallery on Tuesday 4th April. Run by artist Cassie Penn, kids will have the chance to use a printing press to design and create their very own prints. Available to children between the ages of 7 – 13, pre booking is essential, with places costing £4.50 per child.
Families will also love the free art and craft activities on offer every Saturday afternoon between 2.30pm – 3.30pm in the exhibition galleries.
Treat the family to a three course Easter Lunch at Bodmin Jail for £25 and the kids can enjoy getting their faces painted and taking part in the egg hunt. Why not make a day of it and explore the jail and discover its fascinating history?
