Land's End

A fun day out at the edge

An unforgettable day out for all the family awaits at Land’s End, one of Britain’s most famous landmarks.

Attractions in the main Land’s End complex offer plenty to entertain come rain or shine. Travel 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea in the futuristic 4D cinema. Buy Cornish souvenirs and food in specialist shops. Learn fantastical local myths and legends and tales of transport used by ‘end-to-enders’ to get here from John O’ Groats. Children will also love meeting the animals at the restored Cornish farmstead.

You can’t get further southwest than this in mainland Britain and the remote and dramatic coastline here is walkers’ heaven. Walk south and dive in at beautiful Nanjizal beach with its natural stone formations including the Diamond Horse, named for the jewel-like glint when the sun shines through it.

Birdwatchers and wildlife lovers should bring the binoculars and keep eyes peeled for kittiwakes and gannets, basking sharks and dolphins. Even the rarely seen Cornish Chough occasionally puts in an appearance.

We love...

Tucking up warm in waterproofs and visiting this remote spot on a stormy day to watch the impressive power of nature. Very British!
