During the third week of our Instagram Takeover Andrew Mayrick, an A-level student from Kent, took control of the account to document his week-long holiday in Cornwall. Driving the 307 miles in his vintage Mini, Andrew made the journey with his girlfriend Eleanor, who had never before crossed the Tamar. Here are a few of our favourite photos from their trip.
After a long 8-hour journey Andrew and Eleanor arrived in Falmouth. First stop was a trip to Pendennis Point to take in the beautiful scenery Cornwall has to offer.
Eleanor is studying English Literature and thoroughly enjoyed the production of King Lear at the world famous Minack Theatre. The cliff-side theatre offers beautiful views and a fantastic atmosphere.
The colours of the sea in this photograph are stunning. Kynance Cove on the Lizard Peninsula is one of the most painted scenes in Cornwall – we can see why!
We love this photo of Andrew and Eleanor, just before they braved the chilly water at Poldhu Beach for their first-ever surfing lesson.
Cornwall has a wide range of animals and wildlife to discover, we love this photo of an adorable otter just before feeding time at the Cornish Seal Sanctuary.
Doesn’t this look delicious? A holiday in Cornwall should always include a Cornish cream tea - this stunning creation is from The Waymarker in Constantine.
We’ve loved seeing Andrew and Eleanor’s photos during their holiday. This week Matthew Dale takes over the account documenting working at his family farm on the banks of Restronguet Creek near Falmouth
